HomeAging in Place

Their house, their routine.
Your peace of mind.

Quiet sensors that let family see an ordinary day is unfolding — the fridge opened, the front door used, the bedroom up and moving — without cameras in every room or calls every hour.

  • See the day is going normally, at a glance
  • An alert when something unusual happens
  • Cameras only where they are wanted

Staying close without hovering

Many parents want to stay in the house they raised their family in. Many of their kids live across town, up the Expressway or across the border. Activity sensors bridge that distance in a way that respects both sides.

The small signs of an ordinary day

A sensor on the refrigerator, the front door or the bedroom notices normal activity. Family can open the app and see that the morning coffee happened and the mail got picked up, without anyone having to call and ask.

  • Refrigerator and pantry door activity
  • Front and back door use
  • Motion in the bedroom and hallway

Let the right people in

A keypad lock means a daughter, a neighbor or a caregiver can get in with their own code, and nobody has to hide a key under a pot. You can see which code opened the door and when.

  • A separate code for each person
  • Turn off a code any time
  • See who came and went

Hear about what is out of the ordinary

You choose what counts as unusual: the front door opening in the middle of the night, or no activity in the kitchen by late morning. When it happens, the alert goes to the family members you pick, so someone can call or stop by.

  • Alerts you set up around their routine
  • Sent to the people you choose
  • Quiet the rest of the time

Privacy comes first
they decide what goes in

Most families start with sensors, not cameras. A sensor only knows that a door opened or someone walked by. Cameras go only where your parent is comfortable with them, like the front porch, and never anywhere they would rather not be seen.

Activity, not video

Sensors notice movement and doors, not faces or conversations.

What a setup usually includes

We keep it small and simple. Most homes need only a few of these, chosen around how your parent actually lives.

Door sensors

Front door, back door, and the refrigerator.

Motion sensors

A hallway or bedroom, placed to notice normal movement.

Keypad lock

Codes for family and trusted helpers, no spare keys.

Temperature alerts

Know if the house gets too hot in summer or too cold in winter.

A setup your parent is comfortable with.

We will visit the house with you and your parent, listen to how their day goes, and suggest the fewest sensors that do the job — no charge, and no pressure to sign anything on the spot.

Questions

Aging in place questions people ask

Straight answers before anybody comes out to look at the property.

Is this a medical alert system?

No. These are activity sensors and alerts to family. They do not monitor health, detect falls or call for help. If your parent needs a medical alert device, talk to their doctor about one. Our sensors can sit alongside it.

Will my mother feel like she is being watched?

That is the most important question, and the reason most families start without cameras. A sensor only records that a door opened or a room had movement. We are happy to walk her through exactly what each sensor does on the visit, so the decision is hers.

What counts as unusual activity?

You decide. Common choices are a door opening late at night, or no kitchen activity by a certain time in the morning. We help you set alerts that fit their real routine so you are not flooded with false worries.

Does my parent need to use a phone or the app?

No. The sensors work on their own. The app is for the family members who want to check in. If your parent likes technology, they can use it too.

Can several family members get the alerts?

Yes. You can add as many family members as you need, even if they live in another city or across the border, as long as their phone has a data connection.

Can we add cameras later?

Yes. You can start with sensors and add a doorbell or porch camera later, if and when your parent is comfortable with it.
